This Method Statement
describes the methodology to execute all activities for Stone Work Preparation with
in Flat area .
The objective of
this method statement is to clearly understand the job for the execution of the
job along with safety precautions, which are necessary to avoid any kind of
injuries / accidents to personnel or any damage to any equipment or property.
We have prepared this method statement for the situation clearly stated that
how Infinity Interiors will perform the Tiles works in the tower area.
2.
PURPOSE
The purpose of the water proofing and all other related works shall be executed as the part of Godrej nature plus Project. This method statement describes the construction procedure to be followed at the site.
All activities within the project scope of work are carried out safely by Infinity Interiors in strict compliance with HBOCW act.
3. SCOPE
The scope of this
method statement includes but not limited to the following activities;

All work shall be executed in compliance with the requirements of Project
Specifications & Emergency Response Procedures, and other applicable
standards
Approved drawings for constructions with code A and B for works, materials
approval submitted/ to be submitted as applicable and related approved method
statement & ITP’s (Inspection and Test Plan).
5.
RESPONSIBILITY:
a. Performing authority/Permit Holder shall be full time available at site
and responsible for managing all job, machinery and labor for related job.
b.
The QA/QC engineer/Inspector shall be
responsible for ensuring the quality of work as per the specifications.
c.
Engineer/Supervisor shall be full time
available at site and responsible to execute and supervise all the works
according to this Method Statement.
d.
The safety Supervisor shall be full time
available at site and responsible to ensure work being executed in safe manner.
e.
Project Manager shall be responsible for
executing the work in safer manner.

PROCEDURE
9.1 Pre-Installation:
Site Condition Checking And
Setting Out -
Ø GPL
team shall check site condition to
ensure readiness for tile fixing. Main contractor shall sign off clearance to
lay stone for each floor separately.
Ø Store
approved marble tiles near each work area.
Ø All other
work must be finalized prior to marble installation.
Ø Check the
surfaces indicated to receive stone flooring for compliance with requirements.
Ø Clean
concrete substrates to remove dirt, dust, debris and loose particles that could
affect mortar bond.
Ø Clean dirty
or stained stone surface using clean water.
Ø Dry-lay
marble designated to each level. Submit inspection request for marble approval
prior to final fixing at required level.
Ø Apply water proof material to back of marble in two coats. If applicable.
9.2 Preparation Area
Ø GPL Team
shall check site condition to ensure readiness for tile fixing.
Ø Approved
marble tiles will be handling near each working area.
Ø Check the
layout shop drawings related grid lines & levels are given.
Ø Clean
concrete substrates by removing dirt, dust, debris and loose particles that
could affect mortar bond.
Ø Clean dirty
or stained stone surface using clean water.
Ø Dry-lay
marble designated to each level.
Ø MEP
clearance or any other work.
Ø Mortar/
bonding material to be ready at required area.
9.3 Grouting Of Stonework Joints
Ø Check and
ensure that the mortar bed has set. Clean off all loose toppings or any
substances that may reduce or inhibited the grout to the stonework joints.
Ø Add 10 Kg
of approved grout product fine grain to 2.1 – 2.3 liters of clean water stir
until a homogeneous paste. Leave to rest for 2 to 3 minutes and remix before.
Ø Apply the
grout with a rubber trowel to fill the joints completely.
Ø Wait for
10-20 minutes and clean off excess grout slightly damped sponge.
Ø For stone
flooring; allow the grout to set for at least 24 hours before allowing foot
trafficking.
Ø Floors
inspected and approved shall be protected as follows:
Ø Clean
marble with Wiper using clean water
Ø Apply
Polypropylene board sheets to marble surface for foot traffic protection; more
than the foot traffic, the main contractor shall be responsible for the
protection.
Ø All floors
shall be polished to achieve approved sample / Mockup.
Ø Then no further protection will be applied.
9.6 Control Joints:
Control joints, as shown on drawing will be applied around floor perimeter at walls & columns, as follows:

10 . PERMIT TO WORK
Work permits shall be obtained from GPL (if
necessary) it will be followed for all activities. All safety precautionary
measures outlined in respective work permits will be fully adhered.
10.1 INDUCTION
Ø All employees including subcontractor’s personnel,
on the project site will be inducted in Safety related matters by Infinity prior to enter to the
work site.
Ø The workforce will be communicated /briefed for any
types HAZARDs & Minor Injury associated during work Tower area.
Ø Performing authority will conduct TBT and brief the hazards and control measures involved in work before commencement.

12.0 HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT
Ø All workforces shall attend induction training provided by Infinity.
Ø All personnel
involving in various stages of construction will attend the “TBT “(Tool box
TALK Meeting)” conducted prior to start day's activity on daily basis and will
be ensured to make them aware about potential hazards involved within the work
area & relevant safety measures to be taken.
Ø Competent work
force will be deployed for the job. They will be trained for safety
requirements and procedures of the job and risks involved in the job.
Ø First aid
facility will be available during work.
Ø All personnel
will be used necessary PPEs.
Ø Adequate drinking
water facility and amenities will be provided.
Ø Adequate
safety sign boards will be placed all around the work area.
Ø List
of emergency contact telephone numbers will be made available to all Key
personnel associated with this work for all the time.
Ø All
personnel involved in works shall be aware of Safety requirements of the
project and the site shall be kept clean and tidy conditions all the time.
Ø All
access / exit points to work areas shall be maintained free from obstacles,
materials and equipment.
Ø Safety supervision will be made available
continuously and will monitor the activities.
Ø Portable
fire extinguishers (ABC 6 Kg) shall be provided at the site wherever necessary.
Ø Risk
Assessment (HIRA) will be performed to assess the hazards involved and control
measures to be taken prior to start of activity and submitted for Company
review. All control measures will be ensured according to HIRA.
Ø All
the equipment/machineries for the works will be kept at safe locations.
Ø All workers Mandatory
nose mask and social distancing due to Covid -19 .
